ABOUT THE COURSE :
The Jharkhand Biodiversity Board, Ranchi, is conducting two types of certificate courses on biodiversity conservation in Hybrid Mode (80% online & 20% offline): basic and advanced. This course module provides a comprehensive overview of biodiversity conservation, laws and policies in India. It covers topics like importance of biodiversity, conservation approaches, conservation strategies, habitat restoration, sustainable practices laws and policies related to biodiversity conservation.
This course module provides a comprehensive overview of the Biological Diversity Act and Rules, and equips participants with the knowledge and skills needed to implement the Act effectively.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
– Understand the importance of biodiversity conservation and laws
– Familiarity with the Biological Diversity Act and other relevant laws
– Knowledge of institutional frameworks and regulatory mechanisms
– Understanding of ABS mechanisms and benefit sharing procedures
– Familiarity with documentation and information management tools
– Understanding of conservation strategies and sustainable use practices

DEPOSITE OF COURSE FEE :
Course fee may be deposited in the form of Demand Draft in favour of “The Member Secretary, Jharkhand Biodiversity Board” and payable at Ranchi. The Demand Draft may be submitted to the office of Jharkhand Biodiversity Board at the time of Admission. Demand Draft is not required at the time of Online Registration.
REGISTRATION PROCESS :
An individual can register herself/ himself free of cost for the course through online registration portal only whose link is available on official website of the Board i.e., https://jbb.jharkhand.gov.in. There is no fee/demand draft detail required at the time of registration. Candidates have to deposit the course fee in the form of a Demand Draft only after confirmation by the Board.
The registration shall be provisional and does not confirm admission to the course. The candidates will be confirmed after a selection process and will be communicated by 30th September, 2025, through email or any other means.

d. Scanned copy of Aadhar
e. Signed CV in prescribed format
WHO CAN REGISTER FOR THIS COURSE
A person who is interested to work in the field of biodiversity and management and has passed 10+2 or its equivalent qualification in bio-science stream from a recognized Board/Council/Institute, can apply for this course.
